Meet Attorney Darnell Wilson, Esq.
My name is Darnell Wilson, Principal and Owner of the Wilson Law Practice, LLC. and I’d like to tell you a little about myself! I was born in Hamilton, Ohio, which is about 40 minutes north of Cincinnati. I grew up in the northern Cincinnati suburb of Forest Park. I am a United States veteran, having served with distinction in the United States Air Force during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. I am the second of four children (two boys and then two girls).
In addition to raising four kids, my parents worked very hard. My father worked full-time, plus countless double shifts in a steel mill for over 30 years, while my mother focused primarily on the family, which was a full-time job by itself. She also worked full-time in the food services industry. I didn’t know it at the time, but my blue-collar upbringing would one day play a central role in shaping my views as an attorney. As a term of art, I refer to people who are a part of the working/middle class of America that I grew up in and am currently part of as “the People”.
My personal experiences as an adult also play a major part in my vision for this firm. Looking back over many years, and with hindsight and a law license to help in my analysis, I cannot count the number of times that I experienced some type of legal issue that I really had no idea how to handle. I know I am not alone, as studies indicate that conservatively speaking, at least half of all households experience at least one legal issue/matter/headache in a given year and not surprisingly, some households experience multiple issues.
Yet, the majority of people, myself included, choose to handle legal issues without seeking legal advice. The reasons behind this are numerous, but all reasons point primarily two problems. The first is less than effective service delivery, meaning attorneys are not effectively reaching the market and are not offering the market the legal services in a manner that appeals to the market. The second issue, although to a lesser extent, is perception problems (insert good lawyer joke here). The good news is, both of these issues can be addressed and corrected by a law practice operating a business model that is designed to address these issues. That’s why I started this practice.
The first part of our Purpose Statement is “Empower our Clients”. At Wilson Law, we accomplish this purpose by, figuratively speaking, meeting clients where they are. We utilize a general practice approach, meaning we serve client needs in one of five common practice areas: Estate matters, Employment matters, Family matters, Civil matters, and Criminal matters; We are always happy to discuss your issue and offer free telephone and e-mail consultation.
Additionally, we meet clients where they are by understanding not all clients require the same level of attorney/client engagement. This is the idea behind our concept of “One Firm. Three Ways to Engage.” Whether you need limited legal representation, full-service representation, or are interested in pursuing an ongoing, long-term strategic partnership with the firm, we’ve got you covered.
I appreciate you taking the time to visit our website and hope you find the information you are seeking. If we can be of any assistance, please give us a call or drop us a line.
